Dragonflyers of Michigan is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the national and international competition of dragon boat racing and charitable racing through connection, stewardship, growth, inclusion, and responsibility.

Dragonflyers on the Water:

 Races & Events

A blue heron, the name of the boat Dragon Fliers uses for dragon boat racing

Practice times

Practices are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:45 pm - 7:15 pm, with warm-ups and announcements starting at 5:45 pm sharp, and on the water at 6 pm. Please arrive between 5:30 pm - 5:45 pm to give yourself time to park, traverse to the warm-up area, and arrange needed gear. The first practice for returning paddlers is scheduled for for April of 2026, at 5:45 pm. Practices will run through mid-October.

Open paddle sessions on Tuesdays & Thursdays, September 16 - October 16, 6 pm - 7:30 pm.

RSVP email required to hold a seat; dragonflyersofmi@gmail.com.

About: 

* Paddlers must be 14 yrs old or older

* Equipment provided

* $5/paddler each time

* No paddling if lightening
